After connecting the fuse box, there will be a parking mode function. The parking mode means that the dash camera will start to records while a collision happens. Not continuous video recording.

This can be challenging on a Kia. The cabling runs across the top of the windshield and down the side pillar. The kit can attach to the fuse box through a hole, but it’s tricky. Another issue is finding the right fuse sockets for the ACC and BAT plugs. This requires a circuit sensing tool and a diagram of the fuse box. While a DIYer could do this, it may best left to a professional installer with dashcam installation experience.
Great add-on if you want the camera surveillance functionality while parked. Time and patience will reward you with professional results for the DIY's out there or just take it to a shop.. Either way is good. Recommend.
Although the plug-and-play is pretty easy to install I would recommend to buy the fuse kit for parking mode.
I watched several YouTube videos on the topic and successfully hard wired the camera. Please watch out to route the wire behind the airbag in the A-pillar and the fuse has a direction when you push it in.
The cable is a bit too long, but I hid it behind the trim fine. I tested the parking mode by tapping the camera and it worked. I also rocked the parking car left and right, but it did not turn on. I hope it works when it has to.
It is very good, good manual and video´s to install it.
The interface is great. Picture quality is fantastic. Installation was easy. Really love having a discreet dashcam without an integrated monitor so I don't have to think about it until I need it.
